Five minutes is a practice
By Lika Barak · July 2026
Many people quit meditation because they set the bar at thirty minutes and miss a few days in a row.
We teach five. Five minutes, same chair, same time, before the phone. Five minutes is small enough that you cannot reasonably argue with it, and long enough to count.
Consistency is a smaller ask than intensity, and it pays better.
After a month, extend it only if you want to. If you do, it can stop feeling like discipline and start feeling like preference.
